Death of Past Provincial Grand MasterThe Provincial Grand Lodge of Durham has suffered the tragic loss of its highly respected and much loved Past Provincial Grand Master RW Bro Dr Alan Martin Davison who died on Friday 16th December 2016 at the age of 85 years. He was Provincial Grand Master and Grand Superintendent for the Province of Durham, from 1998 until his retirement on 4th May 2006. During his 8 years as PGM and G Supt. he introduced many new Initiatives, the most notable being the creation of The Millennium Project of taking the Masonic Hall of St John’s Lodge in Sunderland and rebuilding it at Beamish Museum. He was always highly respected and will always be greatly missed by all who came into contact with him. |
